An implant replaces the root of a missing tooth and supports a crown, bridge or full arch that is fixed in place. Planning begins with a 3D scan so the implant can be positioned precisely in relation to bone, nerves and the final tooth.
The stages
- Consultation, 3D scan and treatment plan
- Placement of the implant under local anaesthetic
- A healing period, usually two to four months
- Fitting of the final crown or bridge
Your plan, timeline and costs are explained in writing before treatment starts.
